JobPilot ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use JobPilot at jobpilot.prathi.tech.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following information when you use JobPilot:

Account Information: Your name, email address, and profile picture obtained through Google Sign-In (OAuth 2.0).

Profile Data: Job role, skills, experience level, location, and resume that you voluntarily provide.

Gmail Access: We request read-only access to your Gmail solely to identify job-related reply emails (interview invitations, application acknowledgements). We never read, store, or process personal emails.

Usage Data: Basic app usage analytics to improve the product (no personal data sold).

2. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used solely to power JobPilot features:

• Searching and matching job listings to your profile

• Generating AI-powered resumes using Gemini AI

• Composing professional job application emails

• Displaying job-related email replies from Gmail

• Finding nearby part-time jobs and companies

We never sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for advertising.

3. Google OAuth & Gmail Scope

JobPilot uses Google OAuth 2.0 for authentication. We request the following Gmail scopes:

gmail.readonly — To read job-related emails only (filtered by subject keywords like "interview", "application", "offer").

gmail.send — To send job application emails on your behalf when you explicitly click "Send Email".

We comply with Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

4. Data Storage & Security

All data is encrypted in transit using TLS 1.3 and at rest using AES-256 encryption.

Profile data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL), a SOC 2 compliant database provider.

We are compliant with GDPR, CCPA, and the Indian IT Act 2000.

5. Third-Party Services

JobPilot integrates with the following third-party services:

Google OAuth & Gmail API — Authentication and email access

Adzuna API — Public job listings (no personal data shared)

Google Places API — Location-based company search

Google Gemini AI — Resume and email generation

Supabase — Secure data storage

6. Data Retention & Deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings → Delete Account.

Upon deletion, all personal data is permanently removed within 24 hours.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to: access your data, correct inaccuracies, export your data, and request deletion at any time.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of JobPilot constitutes acceptance.
